"Time and time again, people show us who they really are. They show us their true colours. Yet, bizarrely, we fail to acknowledge that, for our mind is engrossed with the idea of perceiving people as the people we want them to be. We fail to recognize their true colours because, on the canvas of our life, we view them in completely different hues. Hues that our eyes have been starved of their entire life. Hues that we’ve been longing to have on our canvas. We try to fit blank spaces with colours that’ll never fulfill the potential of turning it into a masterpiece, almost like a confusedly stubborn infant trying to fit a square into a star mould, since what we fail to comprehend is that people can never be what you want them to be, for just like us, they too have canvases of their own, which they’re busy embellishing with strokes made by the brushes of imagination and acumen, dipped by the hues of belief and hope from their palettes. We’re all looking for a specific hue. One that’ll distinguish and adorn our canvas with exquisiteness; however, we should realize that it’ll come to us at the right time to convert a mere painting into the masterpiece it’s meant to be. A hue that’ll remind us how adroit we are at what we do, and how every second of the patience has been worth it, as only by living the life of a starving artist, will we come to appreciate every brushstroke of the hue that redefines our canvas, our entire life, which will never be the same again."
